The pressure to feel as though something major in your Life needs to be accomplished before the new year, can be disheartening.

January 1 of any year can definitely feel like we all get a fresh start, I mean the number 1 is literally the start of any thing we can think of.

But a new start begins for each of us on any day of the year. Not just on January 1.

I’m not taking away from the people who actually feel and believe that the first day of the New Year is a new beginning, because it can be.

However, you don’t have to wait until that day to begin again. What’s stopping you in February, April, May or September?

Epiphanies, a-ha moments, and reflections are vital any and every day.

And there’s also no shame in not accomplishing one of your goals in a calendar year.

If you wrote down the goal, you accomplished something.

If you worked towards it, you accomplished something.

If you put yourself out there, you accomplished something.

If all you did was survive and take care of yourself this year, you accomplished something.

Beginning again or starting anything new is not defined by January 1.

Making the necessary changes in your life doesn’t have to wait until the clock strikes 12. Today is December 24 and that idea or necessary Life change that needs to happen, can happen right now.

If you’re exhausted and feel like you’ve put forth your best effort in 2021 and just need to decompress until you feel right, do that too.

If your Life begins on December 31, grasp it.

If you reflect until March 10, do that too.

Life isn’t defined by a date.

“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on.” -Hal Borland
