Grace Granted

“Going through things you never thought you’d go through, will only take you places you never thought you’d get to.” -Morgan Harper Nichols

We go through Life logically knowing that it will throw us curveballs, however when that happens it almost feels like there is no end to our heartbreak or hardship in sight. We try our best to be strong and push through but sometimes our situation gets the best of us.

But take heed.

And grant yourself some grace.

Go easy on yourself.

Because you’ve made it through 100% of the trials thrown at you just shows how far you’ve come and how far you can go. Don’t forget to wrap yourself in the same grace that you so freely give to others and God gives to us.

We often feel as though going through obstacles is normal and if we react to them (I.e. cry, scream, feel anxious, doubt ourselves, etc.) then it means we aren’t cut out for what’s thrown our way. But it’s quite the opposite.

We were made to feel and experience a barrage of emotions. In doing so doesn’t take away how strong or resilient we are. It just reminds us in how much grace we need to extend to ourselves.

I know a high percentage of us have dealt with so many blows this past year whether personal or society driven. Our very livelihoods have been robbed per se and we were blindsided.

It’s been tough. And that’s okay.

We are allowed to break, crumble, and stumble. But we are also allowed to rest, reflect and breathe in grace for ourselves from ourselves.

That’s the only way we are going to be able to put one foot in front of the other.
