There are a good percentage of individuals in this world that afraid to Love. Whether it’s due to a disappointing past romantic relationship or various situations within your life that caused your heart to harden.
It can be hard to allow someone to pour themselves into you and it can be hard for you to completely open yourself to someone. However, Love is, in my opinion, not just a feeling but an action. A verb. I consider it a part of the many elements on earth. It is something every human needs desperately. So when we finally allow ourselves to be Loved (properly), we do feel a strength we never knew existed within us. And when we finally break down those barriers around our hearts, we do feel a sense of power we never knew we could obtain. I encourage you to soften your hearts.

This is the classic epitome of: “It’s whats on the inside that counts.” Ultimately, this is true. People that make your soul feel like new, are people that need to be a constant in your life. People that you can laugh, cry and talk to about random occurrences in Life are people that need to be kept around. I think we all have been through a phase in our lives where we felt that looks were everything. Status was everything and reputation. I know at one point I went through that. But in maturing and realizing that how someone made me feel was way more significant than how they looked, opened my eyes to a different perspective about Life. Love is amazing. And it comes from the soul, not the skin.

This is one of my favorite quotes from a movie, especially about Love. I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by couples who genuinely love each other and want their relationships and/or marriages to work. I can only imagine what it feels like when you finally meet the person your soul matches to and the mutual understanding of wanting to spend your lives together is realized. I feel like at some point in our lives,
we want a witness to our life too. Someone who can say, I was there too when you went through your hills and valleys and still stayed because the relationship had so much value and importance to it. A relationship that still grows and surprises the both of you after so many years together.
Love is powerful, kind, peaceful and patient. So if you have the kind of Love in any form…cling to it.
