After church today, a young lady and I were conversing, while the kids were in the car, blasting the A/C, waiting for me, and she asked “I don’t know how you do it” And as I formed my mouth to give an explanation…I couldn’t.
I, honestly, don’t know how I do it either. Seriously.
Day in and day out, I get up and do what I have to do to take care of business and that includes everything from parenting my kids, being an asset at my job, starting graduate school and just living life, period.
I don’t know how I do it.
I don’t think I’ll ever have a detailed answer or explanation.
As parents, we just do it. We wake up in the morning, go over our upcoming day in our head, give ourselves a mini pep talk and just get up to handle business. We go through our day making sure every aspect of our lives is going as smoothly as it can.
And then when our day winds down and we finally get our quiet, alone time, we do ask ourselves, “how did I do it?”
How was I able to juggle kids, work, tasks and life all at the same time?!
Here’s your answer…you’re a parent.
